![]() ![]() Just because they're made by PreSonus doesn't mean they aren't emulating a Porta or a SSL console or any other emulating they might have released (FAT Channel XT emulations). I said emulations, not third party plugins. Who said anything about third party plugins? I also found that Valhalla plugins have overly loud bleed issues due to MixFX. So it's not always subtle on random tracks and can get VERY muddy. But it was a lot! Eventually I realized I had some crosstalk dialed up, turned it off, and the problem went away. And it was driving mad! It was weird because it was only certain channels bleeding into only a couple others channels, not all. I have had that low, around 25% or less, forgotten it was on, and had some channels bleeding very loudly into others. And then sometimes I'll use the Brit or Alpine (from Retro Mix Legends) on the vocal bus (which bypasses the instrument -only bus, and goes straight to the full Mixbus, where Tape is).Īlways be weary when using the crosstalk feature though. If I have a music/instrument-only bus before the Mixbus, I'll put one of the consoles on that (often the CTC-1 Custom). So I'll have Tape on the Mixbus/2-bus or Main Out. I always use at least 2 MixFX in every mix, sometimes 3. I've seen Tape as low as $30-35 this year, and I consider that essential. ![]() Wait for Black Friday sales and get Softube Tape and the Retro Mix Legends bundle (Presonus). ![]()
